Pink is the Newest Trend

Exclusive and affordable gowns tailored at the last minute is the key to Pink Couture Boutique’s success, an accomplishment shared by the brand’s designer, Adolfo Alvarado.

Six months ago, the owners of Pink Horses, a famous boutique that designs clothing for charros, gruperos, and bandas, decided to hire the young and talented fashion designer Adolfo Alvarado to modernize their collection of night gowns, bride, and quinceañera dresses. Welcome to Pink Couture Boutique.

Adolfo was the perfect candidate to lead this new adventure, due to more than fifteen years of experience designing quinceañera dresses and night gowns for major companies such as ABS Clothing Collection, whose designs can be found in stores as prominent as Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus.

I had the opportunity to work with Raquel Welch, Paula Abdul, and Lindsay Lohan. My designs were also worn by Hispanic celebrities such as Angeles Ochoa, Carmen Jara, and the Sparx,” proudly comments the Guatemalan designer.

Today in Pink Couture Boutique Adolfo continues to do what he likes best, which is having his clients wear unique gowns while becoming involved in the creative process of his design from beginning to end, from the creation of the first sketch to the final fitting of the dress.

Then they add bows and other decorations.”

According to the young designer, who studied at the prestigious FIDM in Los Angeles, the two most important decisions a girl has to make when choosing a dress are color and fabric. Adolfo assures that modern quinceañeras no longer want pink or white. Instead, they look for brighter colors such as purple, aqua green or maroon, which have marked this season’s trends.

The important thing is not to decorate the dress excessively,” concludes Adolfo. “The same goes for accessories. Girls tend to wear too big and too many accessories. My advice is to use simple accessories that make them look more sophisticated. In this case, less is more.

Adolfo has no complaints against mothers of quinceañeras. “They have more to say regarding the price; everything else is whatever the girl wants.” According to Adolfo, Pink Couture’s dresses are affordable for every budget. “They range from $80 to whatever the quinceañera and her family are willing to spend.”

It’s clear that after visiting Adolfo, all quinceañeras’ dream to wear an exclusive dress on their special day has been more than realized.
