 You may wonder why celebrities always look spectacular. The answer is simple: they take care of their inner and outer health. Makeup and clothes are important, but if you maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly you will look more than fabulous on the day of your Quinceañera. Consider the following tips and we guarantee that everyone will be amazed with your new look:

1. Exercise. 45 minutes of physical activity three times a week will not only help you stay in shape, but will also provide you with more energy. Since dancing counts as exercise, consider signing up for some dance lessons too stay in shape. Surely you’ll surprise everyone during the celebration.

2. H2O-Drink it, sweat it. Water is one of the greatest beauty secrets since it keeps your body hydrated. If you drink two liters of water a day, your skin will look more than radiant. As a helpful tip, don’t forget to drink water after exercising and sunbathing.

3. Eat breakfast, don’t skip any meal. Your metabolism works more efficiently during the day. Calories that are consumed early morning burn faster than those consumed later in the day. You can have 5 or 6 small meals a day instead of 3 big meals. This way you will balance the sugar levels in your blood and moderate your daily calorie intake. Remember to eat a nutritious breakfast the day of your celebration so that you have enough energy to get you through this agitating day.

4. Pay attention to food portions. It’s not what you eat; it’s how much you eat. Avoid restaurants that serve big meal portions, especially buffets, which provide a great temptation to eat more than your body actually needs.

5. Get enough rest. Don’t forget to get more than enough sleep the day prior to your celebration. It’s important that you get 8 hours of sleep every day to maintain your concentration span in school and to make you look fresh and vibrant on this wonderful occasion.

6. Eat healthy. Since fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamins and antioxidants, make sure to eat three to five servings of them daily. By doing so you’ll soon notice a significant change in the way you look and feel.

7. Drink milk. Just like fruits and vegetables, milk is rich in vitamins and minerals. It is also the number one source of calcium for healthy bones. It’s recommended that you drink a minimum of two cups of milk or eat two servings of dairy products every day.

8. Read the Nutrition Facts label. Try to eat foods that are labeled as “fat-free” and “low-carb.” However, be cautious and do not consume these products in excessive amounts.

9. You can eat cake! Who says to stay away from sweets? Eating something delicious once in a while is a healthy habit. Just make sure to keep a close check on the quantity and frequency in which they are consumed. If you eat sweets on occasion, more than likely it will not affect your weight.
