(Left to right:) Brittny Colindres from Menifee, CA, Veronica Hernandez from Lynwood, CA, Yahaira Montoya from South Gate, CA, Emily Rodriguez from Reseda, CA, and Ashley Vallejos from Whittier, CA are the Finalists for Quinceanera.com Magazine’s 2013 San Fernando Cover Girl Contest.
The Semifinals for Quinceanera.com Magazine’s 2013 San Fernando Cover Girl contest took place on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Quinceanera.com offices. The Semifinals consists of three phases: presentation of the candidates where they each state why they should move on to the Finals, interview with the judges, and runway.
From the group of ten Semifinalists, a panel of judges tallies their marks and the top three scores are presented at the end of the event as the Finalists. The Finalists then have the task of campaigning for themselves and encouraging their friends and family to vote for them through the online voting, which will be available from Monday, March 4, 2013 to Friday, March 8, 2013. Once the polls close, the top number of votes will determine the winner of Quinceanera.com Magazine’s 2013 San Fernando cover girl contest.
At the Semifinals, a tie in the top three scores left the judges no choice but to present a total of five Finalists rather than the usual three. This was a first in the history of Quinceanera.com’s cover girl contest. Tied with the top score of the group were Brittny Colindres from Menifee, CA, and Veronica Hernandez from Lynwood, CA. With the second highest score was contestant Yahaira Montoya from South Gate, CA. And tied with the third top score were Emily Rodriguez from Reseda, CA, and Ashley Vallejos from Whittier, CA.
