During the semifinals event, which took place on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Panorama Mall, the semifinalists stated why they are the perfect candidates to be on the cover of the magazine and also showcased their modeling skills with an onstage runway walk. But without a doubt, the most nerve wrecking aspect of the event for the semifinalists was the interview with the judges. Daniel Legaspi, Vice President of Marketing & Retail Leasing Associate, Raul Corona, designer of JRC Exclusive Designs and exclusive 2012 partner for Quinceanera.com, along with Arturo Casas, Promotions Manager for EC Hispanic Media, the parent company to Quinceanera.com, had the task of choosing the three finalists.

Once the finalists were selected, the audience had the opportunity to cast the first votes for their favorite candidate. And from the votes turned in by the public, one randomly selected entry was awarded an iPad 2 courtesy of The Legaspi Company and the Panorama Mall. Other onstage events included dance competitions for children, moms and dads, as well as modeling contests for moms and toddlers. All participants of the onstage contests received $50 gift cards courtesy of Daniel’s Jewelers.

Online voting is now open for Quinceanera.com’s March 2012 Cover Girl Contest and will remain open until Friday, February 24, 12:00 p.m. PST. The winner of the contest will be announced on Tuesday, February 28 through the Quinceanera.com newsletter, and will be awarded with either $700 or a Quinceañera dress, her own featured interview in the March 2012 issue of Quinceanera.com Magazine, and will kick off the fashion show portion of the Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show held in San Fernando Valley on March 11, 2012.
