Info: Casting Quinceanera.com’s 2013 Image

In this contest, a pretty face will not be an automatic ticket to stardom.
Auditions for Quinceanera.com’s 2013 Image model will take place on October 6th and 21st at the Moda 2000 retail store in Anaheim, California. Hugo Hernandez, Director of Marketing for EC Hispanic Media, discusses some important points of reference as well as tips for Quince girls thinking of entering the contest.
Brains, personality, and confidence are the three ingredients for finding the perfect 2013 Image model for Quinceanera.com. According to Hernandez, “Perfect is a girl who is well-balanced, has an interesting story of who they are and wants to do well in life.”
Three things that girls entering the contest need to know are:
1) The contest is not based on beauty alone. In this case, a pretty face will not be an automatic ticket to stardom.
2) Be confident. Even if you are not feeling it at that moment, ‘fake it ‘til you make it’! Hernandez says girls do not need to walk like a model and talk like a scientist, it all comes down to having the confidence to get up on stage.
3) Be a risk-taker. Take on the initiative and risk to enter the contest; risks can be good.
The two main things that will determine the winner are the answers to interview questions and confidence. If you are thinking of entering, make sure to have your family and friends practice potential interview questions with you. Be prepared to answer questions on your educational goals and why you would like to be the 2013 Image of Quinceanera.com.
The atmosphere for the casting auditions will be less “fierce catwalk” and more “fab party”. Food will be served, music will be pumping and prior to the auditions, contestants and their family members can try on whatever dresses they find appealing at the Moda 2000 store.
The auditions will be on a first-come, first-serve basis, meaning get there early to be one of the first to audition. Contestants can register online or at the store on the day of their audition. Contestants can leave as soon as their audition is done.
Still in doubt as to whether you would like to enter the contest? Hernandez says, “It’s normal for girls to have lots of doubts when entering this contest. But take that step, put fears aside and have fun meeting other Quince girls.”
It is not necessary for girls auditioning to take headshots or a portfolio. Simply show up and put your best confidence forward!
